India Cricket Team Squad Player List for World Cup 2019

India’s squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 announced

Virat Kohli (Capt), Rohit Sharma (vc), Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Vijay Shankar, MSD (wk), Kedar Jadhav, Dinesh Karthik, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohd Shami

Opening Partners – Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul

Undoubtedly, Rohit Sharma will be in the squad and will be the first choice opener. He is the only player other than MS to have played most World Cups.

Shikhar Dhawan has always performed tremendously in the big tournaments especially organized by ICC. His hardcore batting led India winning the 2013 champions trophy. Though India didn’t win the world cup 2015 he gathered 412 runs at an average of over 51. He will definitely be India’s second opener.

Middle Order Wall – Virat Kohli, Ambati Rayudu, Kedar Jadhav

The captain of the team and the best player in the world Virat Kohli will without a doubt be a part of the squad.

Ambati Rayudu has risen mostly from the last world cup. The Hyderabad’s stylish batsman helped Chennai win the IPL 2018 title and since then has contributed many match winning knocks for the Indian national squad.

Kedhar Jadhav is a man of many talents. Although he has been out due to injuries for a majority of 2018 now he is back and good as new and will definitely be included in the world cup squad. He is more than an all-rounder

Wicketkeepers – MS Dhoni and Dinesh Karthik

MS Dhoni will be Indian first choice wicket keeper. He is also a prolific batsman at no. 5 who can play situation accordingly, he can be calm and can hit sixes at will. The greatest Indian behind the wickets is amongst the cricketers who might consider retiring after the world cup 2019 and he would want to make his last world cup a glorious one.

Dinesh Karthik will be added to the team considering this is going to be a big tournament and the management could opt to rest Dhoni for a few matches and Karthik could be behind the wickets then and he is a great batsman also, so he might be included.

All Rounders – Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja

Hardik Pandya is India’s most prolific all-rounder right now. He has solidified his position in a team with his uncanny ability to hit sixes and take wickets and save runs altogether. He has become one of the best all-rounders in the world and will be included in the team.

Ravindra Jadeja has been out of form with his batting and not very consistent with the bowling as well. But we all know, he is a part of India for a long time and can perform anywhere. He is also the best Indian fielder and will find his form very soon.

Spin Bowlers – Yazuvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav

India is known for its spin bowling and Yazuvendra Chahal is one of the best spin bowlers in India currently.

Kuldeep Yadav has become the Indian necessity in the past year. He has ensured his spot in the team with his googlies and spot bowl which has become the nightmares for the batsmen around the world.

Fast Bowlers – Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Mohammed Shami

Bhuvi is now an early Indian bowler and he is also the most consistent and economical bowler for India. Both their ability to swing the ball will confuse the batsmen and their deadly combination of swing can be very beneficial for India.

Mohammed Shami has made a comeback with personal anarchy in his life with allegations about his extra-marital affairs, but he has not allowed his personal issues to come into his game. In fact, he has been more consistent, focused and reliable after the scam. He will definitely join the Indian squad.

India has made the name of winning matches in the death overs and nothing will happen without the death of Jaspreet Bumrah, the specialist. His ability to throw accurate yorkers with the slow ones has made him a real nightmare for the batsmen. Not even that. 1 ODI bowler, then the Indian team can not really go without him.
